We have now used TWH services for a number
of years and found Andy to be most helpful and accommodating
in terms of providing IT based training on a range of
packages, including Excel, Word and Outlook.
Unlike previous
providers who have simply sold a product and tried to
cover the entire spectrum of what a particular
package will do, TWH have invested their time in providing
an on site no-obligation fact finding to tailor make
the training suitable by sitting down with each user
and looking at the day to day tasks that they perform.
This
has enabled our staff to get the most out of the training
and also put into practice what they have
learnt more readily.
Another excellent service that
they have offered is that they can tailor the training
on a one-to-one basis
as well as present to a group of users, making the
best use of accommodating the needs of the user and
meeting the Companies requirements of resource allocation.
Overall
this would be a very useful training asset to have within
any Company and we will be continuing
to use them in future.

Hird Advertising is registered to the
Institute of Practitioners in Advertising Continuous
Professional Development programme, which is a mandatory
of IPA membership in the pursuit of excellence in practitioners.
Having achieved accredited IPA CPD status in 2006 and
2007, externally-sourced training and self-learning
has
become an integral part of the business.
Contributing to this process, TWH has helped the Hird staff to improve their
IT skills through a structured training programme that was specifically created
to accommodate the needs of the individual. As well as generally helping to improve
skills involved with everyday tasks on the PCs, TWH worked with Hird in the creation
of a bespoke, interactive space ordering system that is based on standard Office
software but is extensively tailored to suit the specific operational requirements
of a busy media department.
The benefit of using a business like
TWH is that all training is highly flexible, being
designed with the individual in mind, not an ‘off-the-shelf’ or ‘one-size-fits-all’ course-based
programme.

The IT Trainer’ have recently
delivered training for me on Microsoft Outlook. They
told me that they could save me 45 minutes per day.
That sounded a very bold claim. After only two hours,
I could see so many ways that I was wasting time.
It
was impressive that in that time, the trainer’s

I

Having recently set up my own business
I saw the importance of becoming more organised and
so I enlisted the help of TWH to train me in how to
effectively use Microsoft Outlook. ‘The IT Trainer’ spent
a couple of hours with me ascertaining my needs and
then taking the time to show me how to create task
lists, fill in my calendar and best of all how to empty
my inbox. I can honestly say they were the best 2 hours
I spent as it has helped me to reduce the amount of
time I spend sifting through emails. I am also paperless
when it comes to "to do" lists and my calendar.
